Preston Liebelt is a sing and self taught keyboard chordsman now working as a missionary in Puerto Rico. We take you to new heights this week with Storybuilt Media's  Collin McKenzie & Steve Rausch tell us all about their full feature documentary Vertical Freedom. Then it's awards season and Casey Kelderman of the Backlot 605 podcast tells us about tonight's Schumkies Awards LIVE podcast. Our Weekend Eve Toast celebrates local arts & entertainment choices. Premiere Playhouse Executive Director (and wannabe standup comic) Robin Byrne garners this week's Honorable Mention.

The Arts & Entertainment scene in the Sioux Empire doesn't slowdown in the winter. Cody Henrichs is curator at the Washington Pavilion's Visual Arts Center. He describes and details his job of putting together amazing exhibits. Midtown Coffee Radio Hour's Tina Jackson & Matt Morrison stop by to tell us about their LIVE recording next week at Augie's Back Alley. The Weekend Eve Toast gives kudos to tonight's opening of the Premiere Playhouse production of Lombardi. Artis/Art Gallery Owner April VanLeirsburg talks about local visual arts as well as her Van Arts Gallery on North Phillips Avenue. Then Olde Towne Dinner Theatre's John Boe joins us to talk about the rest of their season and how tickets are now available for their production of I Hate Hamlet. The Weekend Eve Toast salutes small theatre with big talent. Honorable Mention givers kudos to last weekend's Sno-Jam Comedy Festival.

The Mighty Corson Arts Players have an added feature this season--two one-man shows next week. Nathan Sparks stars in Thom Pain (based on nothing) Friday the 28th and Ryan Howe stars in Every Brilliant Thing, Saturday the 29th. Brian Schipper directs both shows. We talk to all three. The Weekend Toast goes to one of our advertisers--for his community involvement. Honorable Mention goes to local winners in the Broadway World Sioux Falls Awards.

Local singer/songwriter Toby Kane & musician Brian Masek collaborated on the album Ghost and a Guess. It was produced during COVID with the two of them never being together in the studio. As funny as that may seem. the Sno-Jam Comedy Festival benefitting Special Olympics is next week. COmics Nathan Hults & Luke Johnson give us a preview. We toast our fin city8 for reached the 200,000 population mark and Honorable Mention this week is a Happy Birthday wish, albeit belated. 

And now back to regularly scheduled programming...Episode 111 gets the new year started with new guests. Chuck Case is drummer and band leader for the Late Night Boomin' TV show. We talk to Chuck about heading Chuck Case and The Late Night Boomers about being in the house band as well as his time in a few bands in the USAF. Then we're joined by comedian/actor Casey Kustak as we talk about comedy and stage acting and how one lead to the other.

It's the last show of 2021 prior to a two week hiatus, but the presents under the Episode 110 tree are wonderful. We unwrap great conversations with singer/songwriter/producer Elizabeth Enalls as well as the oldies band The 1270s with members Dakota Gamber & Adam Bruggeman. A little boy is this week's Honorable Mention and the Wekend Eve Toast is to...guess you'll just have to listen.
